Destruction begins - I was glad Cheri wasn't around for this
Stud view 1 - Might as well go to the studs
Floor1 - Two layers of carpet, linoleum tile and the plywood subfloor removed
Upgrades
Shelf - We couldn't bear to lose our shelves, so I turned them around facing the pantry
Lights1 - Placed the canned lights, lots of obstacles to avoid. Note the we dropped the ceiling 4 inches.
Wiring1 - Hired an electrician to do this, glad I did
Insulation1 - House was built in 1923, 80 years later it gets some insulation
Drywall1 - It is starting to look like a room again
Floor1 - new subfloor
Mud1 - Taping wasn't bad, seams and nails/screws was easy, I hate corners
Cabinets1 - Getting closer
Left to do:
Cabinet trim, paint window and door trim, baseboard, & install cabinet knobs
